“Who I am is wrapped around singing.”
-Kambell Crites
BIO
Kambell Crites is a talented 15-year-old pop singer / songwriter from Houston, Texas. With over 5 years of vocal training and 10 years of dance experience, she's already exceptionally skilled at performing...and she's just getting started.
She discovered her love for singing and performing at a young age. In fact, her mom, Kristal (who is the inspiration behind Kambell’s second single, “Shadow Me”), recalls Kambell humming melodies before she could even talk.
From her very first performance as a young child, Kambell knew she was meant to be on stage. In 2018, she performed a duet from Wicked at the Wanda L. Bass School of Music at Oklahoma City University. In 2019, Memorial Dance Company awarded Kambell ‘Ballerina of the Year’ out of 350 competition dancers. Additionally, she’s played the lead in numerous Queensbury Theatre productions, including the roles of Elsa in Frozen Jr., Peter Pan in Peter Pan, Jr., and Annie in Annie.
Her extensive experience as a performer and her natural vocal talent set the foundation for her first record deal with Grammy award-winning music producer, Billy Dorsey Jr., in 2021.
Performing isn’t where Kambell’s love for music starts and stops. She thoroughly enjoys the entire creative journey from beginning to end. In particular, she finds joy in the recording process where she can truly bring everything together, from the main vocals to the harmonies.
Her love for music allows her to find inspiration for songs in her everyday life, from reflecting on the love she has for her family to the fun she has hanging out with her friends. Kambell is well on her way to making a name for herself as a successful singer and performer, as well as fulfilling her ultimate dream of being on Broadway.
